I’m Laura Clifford-Jones, Counsellor, Coach & Supervisor, I feel that counselling offers your child/young person a safe and confidential space, where they have the opportunity to express their feelings and emotions. Whether this is through talk, play or creative activities such as drawing, writing or painting. Much will depend on their age, stage of development, interests and what they wish to engage in.

Approaching counselling creatively aims to promote a sense of curiosity and choice to enhance decision making. Giving children and young people the opportunity to take responsibility means they will naturally develop different problem-solving skills.  In working together therapeutically, we will find various ways to explore thoughts and identify feelings to heal and learn healthy ways to cope.

My Clinical Areas of experience and expertise are working with Children & Young People (11 Years Upwards), Adults, Transgender & University Students in the UK and Aboard.

Although I work with every aspect of mental health or personal issues, I would say my specialisms are in Autistic Spectrum, Neurodiversity, Eating Disorders, Life Transitions, Relationship issues. Sexual Trauma and Rape, School Issues.

My experience as a counsellor comes from working in Private Practice and Counselling Lead at Poole Therapies & Associates (counselling support for students aboard). Local companies and agencies such as TOPS Day Nurseries, Hadland Care Group & Aspire Training Team Ltd.
