“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”

Carl Rogers.

Welcome to ReWellness

Counselling Adults & Children

We take a flexible approach to counselling and our sessions are always client led, as counselling is all about YOU the client and exploring what you feel you may need, what is holding you back, your story, choices and what’s happened to you along the way. Counselling facilitates self-awareness and understanding which brings about change.

Some clients, especially young people, due to difficult and traumatic experiences,  are unable to articulate with words, or are too overwhelmed when accessing deeply buried events and so they are able to feel safer working with metaphors like art, poetry, stories, sand and stone work. We embrace the creative tools and processes which allow you a safe space in which to express yourself and heal.

We both did our training in "Humanistic" therapeutic counselling with Carl Rogers "Person Centred" underpinning our approach. We have continued training over the years in many styles of counselling including training to work with young people.

Rewellness is run as our private practice, we also work for a charity/agency working within local schools offering children of all ages therapy for a wide range of needs.

Previously, we have also have had experience working within a large local agency, counselling for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) as well as working for a project counselling woman and children affected by domestic violence.
