This service is ideal for:
Parents and children experiencing ongoing tension or conflict

Every family is different. Our therapists work with your unique story and structure — whether you attend as a full family, part of one, or as co-parents.
3. What can family therapy help with?
We work with families experiencing:
Emotional distance or lack of connection
Frequent arguments or misunderstandings
Issues related to school, anxiety, or behaviour
Grief, loss, or big life transitions
Parenting stress, burnout, or co-parenting difficulties
Family impacts of mental health or neurodiversity
4. Do we have to attend as a full family every time?
Not necessarily. Family therapy is flexible. Some sessions may involve everyone, while others might focus on one or two people. The goal is always to support the whole system in the most effective way.
5. Is family therapy suitable for teenagers and children?
Yes, absolutely. We work with families with children of all ages and tailor our approach based on their developmental needs. We use creative, age-appropriate strategies to help younger clients feel comfortable and heard.
6. How long does family therapy take?
This varies. Some families benefit from a few sessions focused on a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work to explore deeper patterns. We’ll review progress with you regularly and adjust the pace to suit your needs.
7. Do you offer online family therapy?
Yes. We offer family therapy both in-person in Poole and online across the UK. Online sessions are flexible and can still be highly effective for many families.
8. Is what we share kept confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is a key part of the therapeutic process. There are a few exceptions (such as risk of harm), which your therapist will explain at the beginning. We also discuss how we manage confidentiality between different family members if sessions are split.
9. How do we get started?
Simply contact us to book an initial consultation. We’ll talk through your concerns, answer any questions, and explore whether family therapy is the right fit for your needs.
