About

Hi, I’m Kasandra Gulka, an Integrative Counsellor, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Practitioner (certification in progress), and Therapeutic Social Worker, with over 20 years’ experience supporting children, adults, and families through a wide range of emotional, relational, and trauma-related challenges. I am registered with Social Work England and a professional member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, offering trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for individuals and families.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens within safe, trusting relationships where people feel truly seen, heard, and emotionally understood. I support individuals processing trauma and loss, parents navigating complex family dynamics, and families working to strengthen attachment and connection following adversity.

I combine warmth, curiosity, and empathy with evidence-based therapeutic frameworks, providing both emotional safety and practical, relational tools to support meaningful, lasting change.

Clinical Background

I have over 20 years of experience working clinically with children, adults, and families with complex emotional, relational, and trauma-related needs. My work spans statutory and therapeutic settings.

My clinical practice is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, with extensive experience delivering integrative counselling and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)-informed interventions. I work both directly with individuals, couples, and families and systemically alongside professionals, contributing to the formulation, care planning, and multidisciplinary work.

I have held senior clinical responsibilities, including creating a therapeutic framework, supporting staff practice, and contributing to training and reflective work. Alongside my clinical role, I am a member of the DDP Global Development Committee, contributing to the ongoing development of Dyadic developmental Psychotherapy internationally.
